COMMENT! As you can see, Word has made a lot of inroads in terms of points. I could probably go into a massive analysis, but I think you can draw some of your own conclusions now that you've read the comparison. What I will note is that one or two menu items shifted, and I was more ruthless in assigning points where I felt that a certain feature may have crossed over with another. I think this is the most thorough comparison I've done yet. I'm not deriding the fact that Word has made some inroads, has introduced some good features, and has worked on some other features that needed improvement, and as a result, WordPerfect's points have suffered. The simple fact seems to be that Corel spent more time on stabilizing the program than they did on new features. This is something that everybody wants: a more stable program. It's therefore hard to fault Corel for doing this, but WP12 will need to move forward again with some new features, including those highlighted here. Word will undoubtedly gain more features, now that XML has been integrated, so WP will have to keep up!
