What is Reveal Codes?
Every time you do something to your document/text, a code is added (the code tells the program how the text/document should appear/work—similar to HTML, if you know HTML). For example, highlight text and make it BOLD—a BOLD code appears around the appropriate text. Insert a graphic—a code appears where the graphic will be etc, etc.
What makes Reveal Codes so great?
Well, have you ever been working on a document, only to have something inexplicable happen? Have you ever wondered why something isn't working the way it should? For example, say your document won't duplex, Revealing the Codes could show you that you have two different paper types chosen (e.g., A4 on the 1st page, and Letter on the 2nd), or say that after a Mail Merge, your first paragraph is Bold when it shouldn't be; Revealing the Codes could show that the Bold Code from your Subject line is continuing onto the first line of your opening paragraph. There are dozens of examples, and only someone who has used WordPerfect would appreciate how invaluable they are when trying to identify problems in your document.
