Both are natural language, and both WP & Word return a possible list of answers from which to choose (WP with a percentage showing how probable the topic is to the question you asked). Both don't always return a topic you were looking for, but I find that WP has the edge for returning an answer closest to that which you asked. WP also gives you two sorts of help:

Corel’s Perfect Experts are like a context-sensitive Table of Contents on the left side of your screen. They guide you through the processes of formatting, creating, and changing your documents. This was one of the features that people new to wordprocessors rated highly when comparing WordPerfect to Word. |

Word: Detect and Repair |

This is a great new feature to Microsoft's products, although it isn't as extensive as one would assume. PowerPoint wasn't working for someone in our organization, so she used Detect and Repair, but this didn't fix the problem. We had to uninstall and reinstall the product. |
